5 min. readlast update: 02.21.2025

What is the purpose of this policy?

This policy and Prohibited Trading Methods ensure that all clients adhere to high ethical practices at all times during their engagement with CTI. It aims to maintain the integrity and professionalism of our services at CTI as well as the integrity of the simulated environment.

Who does this policy apply to?

This policy applies to all clients enrolled in any program offered by CTI at all levels and at all times.

Is "Unethical & Unprofessional Conduct" treated differently from "Funding Rules & Prohibited Trading Methods"?

Yes, Unethical and Unprofessional Conduct are addressed differently than funding rules and Prohibited Trading Methods.

While both refer to actions that are not permitted, "Unethical and Unprofessional Conduct" cases are assessed on an individual basis.

On the other hand, "the Funding Rules & Prohibited Trading Methods" have a set specified outcome if violated.

How does CTI detect and monitor violations?

We use advanced monitoring systems to detect unusual or suspicious activity. All traders are required to comply with these monitoring processes to ensure fairness.

How can I report a suspected violation?

You can report any suspicious activities or breaches anonymously to support@citytradersimperium.com.

All reports are thoroughly investigated with respect for everyone's privacy.

What actions might CTI take in response to Unethical & Unprofessional Conduct?

Responses to Unethical and Unprofessional Conduct can vary, including one of more of the following:

  • A simple warning (max 2 warnings, then permanent account closure).
  • A reset of your account (max 1 reset).
  • A reduction of your max allowed risk per trade idea to 1%.
  • Permanent closure of your account.
  • The forfeiture of any simulated rewards is pending further investigation until a final decision is reached.
  • Permanent ban from future programs.
  • Legal action, if applicable.

Are there any fees associated with Prohibited Conduct violations?

Violations of Prohibited Conduct will NOT result in a fee to reset your account. The specific action taken by CTI will depend on the severity of the infraction and your previous record.

What actions are prohibited under this policy?

Unethical Conduct

Actions that undermine the Ethical standards of our community. Prohibited actions include:

  • Exploitative Trading: Using prohibited software, collaborating with other traders to manipulate outcomes, or any other forms of deceit to secure unfair advantages.
  • Misrepresentation: Providing false or misleading information to CTI about one’s trading history or account status.
  • Reselling or trading promotional items or giveaways obtained through CTI’s influencer programs in violation of agreement terms.
  • Misusing promo codes or attempting to abuse discounts.
  • Threatening to write a bad review or blackmailing CTI to obtain free/discounted services or favorable outcomes in disputes that are not in line with CTI's terms and conditions.
  • Sharing falsified images or screenshots.
  • Circumventing geographical restrictions of availability or any other technical restrictions;
  • Initiating unjustified chargebacks against CTI.
  • Trading on behalf of others, including but not limited to sharing any incentives as part of any business arrangement.
  • In concert with others, including between unconnected accounts and third parties, performing the same trading strategy (i.e., performing the same trades in the same time increments), opposite strategy, or other activity means to pool or hedge the risk of the aggregate, unconnected accounts.

Unprofessional Conduct

Actions that undermine the Professional standards of our community, such as:

  • Displaying unprofessional conduct includes, but is not limited to, the Ethical Misconduct outlined previously.
  • Repeatedly asking for Resets, freebies, or special exceptions.
  • Intentionally depleting the account balance in Funded Accounts to force a failure.
  • Excessive opening of support tickets or unnecessary repeated calling to support.
  • Publicly posting private correspondence or communications.
  • Being rude or disrespectful to CTI employees, Discord Moderators, or on social media.
  • Creating an unjustified toxic or negative atmosphere in the Discord community or on social media.
  • Excessive tagging of Discord Moderators or CTI employees in the Discord community, or on social media.
  • Excessive purchases of challenges/evaluations or Resets during a short period of time.
  • Irresponsible & reckless trading that is not in line with responsible trading practices.
  • Executing trades in a manner inconsistent with standard practices in the relevant financial markets or in a way that raises legitimate concerns about potential financial or other damages that CTI might incur due to the user's actions.
  • Adjusting your trading style solely to become eligible for a payout. Your trading methodology and risk management must remain consistent throughout the evaluation/challenge once you’ve qualified.
  • Account Stacking: This refers to the practice where a trader engages in aggressive trading, reaches the Maximum Loss Limit in one account, and then shifts to another account to continue the same high-risk trading strategy. The objective is to persist with these risky trades until a significant profit is achieved from a successful trade. This behavior is prohibited as it manipulates risk parameters and breaches our established trading guidelines.

Will this policy change over time?

Yes, this policy is periodically reviewed and may be amended to adapt to new challenges and ensure the effectiveness of our evaluation processes.
