High-Risk Trader Policy

2 min. readlast update: 05.26.2025

To promote long-term trader sustainability and protect capital, CTI may classify certain clients as High-Risk Traders at any stage.

This policy exists to support serious, disciplined traders in building long-term success.

These measures are not punishments—they’re a framework to protect traders and CTI's Capital at Risk (Your Skills, Our Capital at Risk) and ensure a professional, sustainable trading environment for both the trader and the company.

🔷 What Does This Mean?

If you are flagged as a High-Risk Trader, you will be immediately placed under stricter risk controls, which may include:

✅ Leverage restrictions.

✅ Position size limits.

Maximum risk per trade idea limited to 1%.

🔍 A trade idea refers to one or more trades opened on the same symbol at the same time.

These restrictions are temporary and reviewed periodically by the CTI Risk Team. Once consistency, discipline, and profitability are proven, restrictions may be lifted.

🔷 Reasons You May Be Flagged

❌ You risk the entire drawdown on a single trade idea.

❌ You blow up a funded account in one day without showing proper trade management.

❌ You consistently use excessive leverage or ignore stop losses.

❌ You repeatedly demonstrate high-risk trading behaviour.

❌ You leave large positions (relative to your account size) open during major news events, overnight, or over weekends without adequate risk controls.

❌ You lack sufficient trading history to properly assess your long-term profitability or risk approach.

❌ You suddenly deviate from your previous trading behaviour in a suspicious or erratic way.

❌ You repeatedly breach CTI’s risk protocols or fail to implement feedback.

🔷Enforcement Procedure

⚠️ 1st Violation – Warning issued.

⚠️ 2nd Violation – Final warning.

3rd Violation – Contract terminated with no refund.

CTI reserves the right to deny future account purchases or participation in any of our programs if your trading profile does not align with our risk tolerance or funding criteria.
