Master Password VS Investor Password

2 min. readlast update: 05.17.2024

You can access the Master and Investor passwords from within the client's dashboard.

*For account security reasons, changing or resetting the Master password is not allowed through the dashboard.

If you lose or want to change the Master Password, please email our customer support team at support@citytradersimperium.com.

What is the Master Password?

Full Access

The master password grants full access to the trading account. This means the user can perform all trading operations, including opening and closing positions, modifying orders, and managing funds.

Account Setting

With the master password, the user can also change account settings, such as updating personal information, changing the password, and configuring trading platform settings.

Administrative Functions

It allows the user to perform administrative functions like linking or unlinking trading signals, managing automated trading systems (like Expert Advisors in MetaTrader), and accessing all account-related reports and analytics.

What is the Investor Password?

Read-Only Access

The investor password, also known as a read-only password, provides limited access to the trading account. Users can view the account balance, equity, open positions, trading history, and other account details but cannot execute trades or make changes.

Monitoring and Analysis

This password is typically used to monitor the account’s performance. Investors, partners, or anyone interested in reviewing the account’s activities can use it to see how the account is performing without the risk of unauthorized trading.

Security

Since the investor password restricts trading actions, it adds an additional layer of security, ensuring that even if this password is shared, the account remains protected from unauthorized trading activities.
